Baked Yatsuhashi
Ingredients
- 1 cup glutinous rice flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/3 cup water
- Cornstarch for dusting
Procedure
- Adjust the oven temperature to 350°F (180°C) and place parchment paper on a baking pan.
- Glutinous rice flour, sugar, and ground cinnamon should all be combined in a bowl.
- Mixing constantly, gradually add water to the dry ingredients until a homogeneous, sticky dough forms.
- Use cornflour to dust a clean surface to keep it from adhering. Roll the dough into a rectangle that is thin.
- Slice the dough into more manageable squares or rectangles.
- After cutting the pieces, place them on the baking sheet that has been prepared. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges start to brown.
- Take them out of the oven and allow them to cool fully. The cooked Yatsuhashi will crisp up as they cool.

chocolate Yatsuhashi

- Put a tiny bit of the chocolate filling in the middle of every slice.
